I am a fully qualified, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling and Psychotherapy Professions.
My Approach
I work with an integrative approach which means I use different psychotherapeutic models seamlessly to meet the individual needs of each of my clients, whilst also offering a therapeutic relationship to empower and support your desired change.
I offer an approachable, non-judgmental and safe space, working collaboratively, through situations that may have been affecting your life for years, exploring past experiences which can be helpful to understand ourselves in the present, and learn more helpful ways of coping for the future.
My sessions can also be very useful in the pursuit of personal development, working towards goals, finding clarity and focus, reaching a desired potential and living a more fulfilling life.
Since qualification I continue my holistic interests to support my work, including neuroscience, and, the mind-body connection; I have seen how breathwork, meditation, and visualisation techniques, can be used to support changes in feelings, thoughts and behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment.
Training & qualifications
I hold Diplomas in Integrative Counselling, accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy.
I am trained in Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and Existential models and I continue to research other therapeutic models to enhance my professional practice.
I undertake regular CPD and supervision to continue to meet professional standards. I am fully insured and hold an advanced DBS.
Experience
In addition to working with clients in my private practice, my clinical experience includes working with a charitable organisation offering professional services to the community and surrounding areas.
Previously I have volunteered with Victim Support, an independent charity who are dedicated to supporting victims of crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales; and have also worked within a corporate organisation providing services to employees in need of support.
Please contact me today if you would like to schedule a session or if you would like to discuss my services.
